Darmstadt, 4 November 2024. Darmstadt-based technology expert IoT Venture GmbH has developed a new solution for the integration of smart locks that makes locking e-bikes even easier and more secure. A first example of this technology can be found at long-time partner and e-bike manufacturer VELO DE VILLE, which has implemented the use case in cooperation with I LOCKT IT.<\/p>\n

This innovation is already in use at the Luxembourg Post Office, which is equipped with VELO DE VILLE e-bikes. Thanks to the IoT integration in the lock, employees can access the e-bike fleet virtually at any time and keylessly via “keyless go” – without the hassle of managing keys. At the same time, the fleet portal can be queried at any time to ensure that the bikes have been properly locked after use.<\/p>\n

This is a huge benefit, especially for fleet operators: Bikes can be remotely checked for their security status and locked if necessary. This feature makes fleet management much easier, especially for large companies or organisations using e-bikes.<\/p>\n

I LOCK IT, the partner in this first implementation, enables this remote functionality on VELO DE VILLE’s e-bikes through the seamless integration of IoT Venture’s IoT solution. “Our mission is to create innovative safety solutions that are convenient and reliable.
