When Karla I.* locked up her e-bike near Herrngarten in Darmstadt in mid-March, she had no idea that it would be stolen two days later. But thanks to the IT’S MY BIKE GPS tracker and quick cooperation with the police, her bike was only gone for a short time. Within hours of reporting the theft, she had it back in her possession.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It is 12 March 2025, 12:15 pm, when Karla I.*’s e-bike is stolen in Darmstadt North, just a few metres from Herrngarten. She didn’t notice the theft until the afternoon and immediately reported it to the police. At 15:01, the IT’S MY BIKE bike hunter team also receives the theft report.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to the built-in GPS tracker, no valuable time is lost. All the information about the bike and the location of the theft is sent directly to the police, who take immediate action thanks to the close cooperation with the Bike Hunters. With the help of the GPS data provided by IT’S MY BIKE, they immediately start their search. The thief took off in the direction of Darmstadt West, past the Herrngarten park, right through the city centre and then another kilometre or so north towards the Darmstadt hospital, where he stopped at around 13:45. <\/span>Just three and a half hours later, at 16:22, the police report that the e-bike has been successfully recovered.<\/p>\n

Karla I* can hardly believe her luck. She herself was involved in the recovery. It was exciting. I can tell you that,” she says enthusiastically.<\/span><\/p>\n

And that’s not all: while searching for the stolen e-bike, the officers catch a thief in the act of stealing an e-scooter. A double success for the day, thanks to the GPS tracker.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Thanks to the GPS tracker from IT’S MY BIKE, an e-bike stolen in Darmstadt, Germany, was recovered just a few hours after it was reported stolen in mid-March.
