Easter holiday nightmare: e-bike stolen from hotel in the Netherlands<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1777538556966{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}” el_class=”teaser-imb”]<\/p>\n

On Easter Sunday, 5 April 2026, Ron W. reports the theft of his e-bike in Enkhuizen, North Holland, in the early hours of the morning. Thanks to GPS tracking and a swift response from the Dutch police, the bike was found that very same morning.<\/p>\n

Ron W. is spending the Easter holidays with his wife in Enkhuizen in the Netherlands. They are planning a relaxing break with good weather and long bike rides. However, Easter Sunday takes an unexpected turn.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At around 5 a.m. on 5 April 2026, Ron W.* is woken by a notification from the IT’S MY BIKE app informing him that his e-bike is being moved. He immediately checks the parking spot on the hotel grounds in the northern part of Enkhuizen, only to find that the bike has disappeared.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He reports the incident immediately afterwards and remains in close contact with the Bike Hunter team at IT’S MY BIKE.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Analysis of the e-bike\u2019s current location continues and is narrowed down. Just a few hours later, this results in a concrete lead. The relevant local police are informed.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the thief moves to the neighbouring town of Buitenhaven, near Snouck van Loosen Park.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At around 11:16 am, the officers and Ron W arrive at the reported location by the water and find his e-bike locked to a lamppost in a public area.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

They identified the bike on the spot and removed the thief\u2019s lock using specialist tools. The e-bike was recovered after about an hour.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The incident took a swift and positive turn for Ron W.*: he got his stolen bike back that very same day. Thus, a stolen e-bike turned into a little Easter miracle.<\/p>\n
