The owner noticed his bike had been stolen at 5.34 p.m., barely ten minutes after the theft. Reacting just as he should, the owner reported the theft in the IT’S MY BIKE app. Notified by the IT’S MY BIKE team, the police immediately started to track the stolen e-bike down. Thanks to the built-in location module, the police were able to pinpoint the bike’s location and take up the trail.

The bike eventually came to a standstill in a car workshop at 5.48 p.m. The police weren’t able to find it at first, but the position data provided by the GPS tracker indicated that the bike was still in the building. An IT’S MY BIKE team member passed this crucial information on to the officers. All was well in the end: the police found the bicycle on the workshop grounds. The case was thus cleared up within an hour.
