On the afternoon of April 23, Bernd Schröder headed to a pharmacy in the centre of Münster. He left his e-bike outside the pharmacy without locking it up and quickly entered the store to pick up his medication. “I stepped into the pharmacy for just one second and my bike was stolen the instant I picked up my medication,” affirmed Bernd.

When he left the pharmacy, he immediately noticed his bike had vanished. “I was frantic because I had valuable belongings in my bag on the back,” he recalled. He promptly reported the theft in the IT’S MY BIKE app as his bike had a hidden GPS tracker. The pharmacist called the police in the meantime.

Despite being strongly advised not to start looking himself, Bernd decided to track the stolen bike with the help of the IT’S MY BIKE Bike Hunters. The GPS tracker indicated that the bike was nearby. He headed towards the location together with his wife. They eventually found it in a small section of Münster’s Bahnhofstrasse, very close to the railway station. Three youths were lingering next to the bike.

He seized back his bike about an hour after it was stolen and rode it home again. Bernd expressed his thanks and was overjoyed: “I truly recommend the GPS tracker.”
