Stolen from a shed: Thief strikes early in the morning in Achim

Darmstadt, 21th January. In the early hours of 21 January, a high-quality e-bike was stolen from a shed in Uphusen, a district of Achim, near Bremen. After a few hours, thanks to the built-in GPS tracker from IT’S MY BIKE, the e-bike is found – just a few kilometres from where it was stolen.

The thief leaves the scene of the crime in Uphusen with the stolen e-bike and rides away at around 13 km/h on the L158 towards Bremen.

At this point, the owner notices the loss of his bike and reports it via the IT’S MY BIKE app. The chase begins.

The trail leads first to Bremen’s Bürgerpark, where the thief stops for a moment before continuing his journey a little later at around 14:45.  After about 8 kilometres, he reaches an allotment garden in Bremen-Osterholz. Although the local police were immediately alerted, the stolen bike remained undiscovered.

But the thief did not remain unobserved for long. In the evening, around 6.30 pm, he sets the stolen goods in motion again. This time he drove it about 1.3 kilometres to an apartment building before parking it about an hour later in a car park a few metres away near the Blockdiek sports ground. This was the end of the chase: The police recovered the stolen bike the next day. The owner is relieved.
