Background: A woman had her new e-bike stolen while she was attending a hospital appointment in the German city of Neubrandenburg. She had only just bought it the day before and also took out an e-bike insurance policy with GPS protection from the insurance start-up ALTEOS. The best thing about this insurance option is that priority is given to recovering stolen e-bikes. That’s why an IT’S MY BIKE GPS tracker is fitted to e-bikes where it is invisible to thieves when customers take out insurance.
